Jeep Suffers Black Eye JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., May 31.— Col. C. V. Whitneys Jeep came out of his impressive Wood Memorial in fine condition, save for a black eye sustained during the running. The bruise filled through the night but trainer Lydell Ruff believes that it will not interfere with his training. The colt will be shipped to Churchill Downs next Tuesday, according to present plans.
