Card Invitational Race Jvor Three-Year-Olds Six Acceptances Received for Narragansett Wednesday Event PAWTUCKET, R. I., May 31.— The quick enterprise of judge James E. Dooley, that snatched the never-to-be-forgotten Alsab-Whirlaway match, today made possible another first class sporting contest. By special invitation the six best three-year-olds on the Narragansett grounds will meet next Wednesday, June 6 in a race titled The War Bond Invitation Purse. It will be run over six furlongs for a purse of 0,000 in war bonds and a subscription of 00 from each owner will go to the winner. Definite acceptances were made this morning in behalf of Glen Felkners Paper Mill; Mrs. Weston W. Adams Kewey Dee; Joseph Tuccis Nowadays; R. B. Carrolls Beldine: A. F. Walls Tiger Man and Betty Froelichs Snow Maid, the latter being the only filly in the race. The colts and geldings will carry 115 pounds, the filly 110 pounds. The purse of 0,000 will be divided ,000 to the second horse; ,000 to third; 00 to fourth and 00 to fifth. To the winner will go ,300 from the purse and ,200 from the subscriptions, a total of ,500. All money will be paid in war bonds. The trainers of the six horses have agreed to start regardless of track conditions.
