ROSALU, never far off the pace, closed willingly under urging and was along to draw clear in the final sixteenth. FIGHTING HARD raced close to the pace under light restraint, saved ground while taking command, but was not good enough. WISE BRUNETTE, a slow beginner, rallied when placed under pressure and finished stoutly. ULA held on well through the drive. HI BUNTY finished fast from off the pace. GAY flattened out after a mild challenge. SANDGLASS quit badly. KENTUCKY SON tired. The others were outrun. FOREVER THINE improved position gradually on the outside, circled the field to take command leaving the furlong pole and drew out easily. CELESTIA outran the field to take command early, saved ground and held on tenaciously. BLACK DISC finished stoutly along the inside. MISS PIN UP forced the pace, weakening when placed under pressure. NOVADALE, a slow beginner, passed tiring horses. PAMS BOY lacked a rally. HEIM HOME was slow to settle into best stride. CRESSON KNIGHT rushed boldly along the inside during the final furlong. HAPPY BOUND was hustled from the outside position to engage the leaders before, a quarter mile, assumed command, drew clear under pressure, and would have won easily, but for swerving. FOG A. BOLIA worked his way up on the outside to turn in a -good effort TONY JAY broke alertly, was caught in close quarters en the far turn, then finished well when clear. QUIZ ME was away fast, saved ground, but was net good enough. DICK GLAVIN went evenly. KITTY WHISKERS was unable to keep up. ROY ELLA broke well, was shuffled back and showed nothing thereafter. FEATHER STITCH began slowly, worked her way up on the outside, caught the leaders in the stretch and was drawing out under pressure. COTTON BUD alternated in establishing the pace, regained the lead in the late stretch and just missed. MARIOS PRIDE began quickly, gained the lead before a half, then tired under pressure. SUNSHADE, unable to stay with the pace, moved to the inside on the final turn, threatened, then faltered. TORPEDERO weakened after a half mile and pulled up sore. The latter began moving into contention after five furlongs, continued his charge on the outside, but was not good enough. DADDY JOE was forced to weave between horses when caught in close quarters along the inside in the late stages. GOLDEN CLOVER failed to rally under stout pressure. VACANCE rushed boldly on the extreme outside, was forced to lose ground, then lacked a rally. RAY K. opened a clear lead early, was rated under steadying restraint for a mile, then held on gamely.
