ROMAN GRACE went through on the rail to be closest to the pace, was on nearly even terms for the lead on the outside and lasted over LAROC. The latter was hustled along when challenged to maintain a slight lead, was hard put for the closing furlong and just missed. LADY AJAX lacked room early, moved up on the outside on the final turn and closed stoutly-betwten. horses. BAR POOL saved-ground throughout and had no excuse. MOONBLEND closed stoutlyafter a slow beginning. FOX MAN lacked room. LONA MAE was outrun. SKYWAVE was pinched back going into the final turn. SCENIC CHARM and DEFERREDS SON quit.
