Guarantee Robinson 4,000 For Title Bout With Turpin LONDON, England, June 6 UP.— Ray "Sugar" Robinson agreed .today to defend his world middleweight championship against Randolph Turpin, British and European titleholder, at Earls Court, July 10. Robinson will receive an estimated 30,000 pounds 4,000, the highest purse ever paid a fighter in Britain. The champion originally demanded 8,000, but compromised on the final figure with promoter Jack Solomons. In the event that Turpin wins, he has agreed to a return fight "somewhere around September 26," according to Solomons. The bout max be staged in the U. S. or Britain. Robinson meets Jan de Bruin of Holland at Antwerp, Belgium, next | Sunday.
