Three Futurity Eligibles Arrive at Arlington Park Ancient City, Tacitus/Mr. Keep In E. Barry Ryan Unit Checking In Three Arlington-Washington Park Futurity eligibles were in E. Barry Ryans six-horse contingent that arrived at Arlington Park late Tuesday. The horses were accompanied from Pimlico by assistant trainer C. R. Bradbury. Eight Ryan horses still in the East are due for shipment to the Chicago course before the season opens on June 18. Ryans Futurity eligibles include the Heliopolis colt, Ancient City; Tacitus, by Roman, and Mr. Keep, by Bernborough. A week-end arrival was James Jenkins stable of two trained by H. H. Philpot. One of the Philpot charges is Chiloe H., the horse that Joe Culmone rode to a six-length victory in his 1951 match race with Willie Shoemaker, aboard Curruhuinca. There are 90 horses on the Arlington grounds at present, but the arrival of the Danada Farm stable of* Mr. and Mrs. Dan F. Rice on Sunday or Monday should swell the total considerably. No word had been received yesterday concerning the arrival time of the Hollywood Oaks winner, Ruth Lily, who was to be shipped by air from California to Arlington Park tomorrow.
