■ t ■ I • J I Pleasanton Mutuel Employes Agree to Compromise Terms PLEASANTON, Calif., June 21.— A threatened strike at the Alameda County Fair was settled yesterday when the membership of the Pari-Mutuels Employees Guild, Local 280, agreed to compromise terms offered by the Fair management. Under the new contract, all mutuel clerks will receive a .18 cost of living increase and .00 per race for each race over 10. The .00 will be held in escrow sub- ject to approval of the Wage Stabilization Board. The union had requested, in addition to the .18, .00 per race for each race over eight. Pleasanton presents 11 races each day making a total of .18 increase for r.ll mutuel employees.
