Bonsai Sees Son Ride in Hunt Meet LAUREL, Md., April 30.— Trainer Frank A. Bonsai turned over the saddling chores at Laurel on Saturday to assistant trainer Joe Mergler. Bonsai had four horses entered at Laurel but loyalty demands that he attend the running of the Maryland Hunt Cup in Glyn-don where his son Frank, Jr., is scheduled to handle Stuart Janneys Philstar in the four-mile, 22-jump steeplechase event. Frank, Sr., won the chase in 1927 and 1928 with Bon Master.
