Hazel Parks Appreciation Day Program to Be Run June 4 HAZEL PARK, Mich., May 16.— Hazel Park officials are making plans to stage their third annual Appreciation Day on Tuesday, June 4. A yearling filly already has been selected to be given away to the fan who picks the winning name for her. The "Appreciation Day idea has been used at other tracks since it was inaugurated here in 1955, with all fans being admitted free on that day. Both the previous prize fillies will be seen in action during the forthcoming 62-day meet. John J. Sirkin, the Hazel Park tool-and-die maker who won the first "name-the-filly" contest, is looking after Hititlucky himself, while V. R. "Tennessee" Wright is on hand with last years prize horse. Regal Gesture, which he purchased for ,000 from J. D. Webster, a schoolteacher.
