CITY PARK STORY IS SILLY. The silly rumor that tbe City Park track of New Orleans was to be opened for summer racing for tbe purpose of killing off the Algiers and Suburban merry-go-rounds in that . city, is denied by the officials of the track, and commenting on it Ed Corrigan said yesterday: "Of course .City Park will not be used for .such, a purpose. Itia absurd."
