La Gloria rushed into a long lead in the first quarter, set a fast pace, raced Cousin Kate into defeat and bad enough left to stall off the challenge of Chippewa. The latter, off forwardly, moved up fast aftei making the turn into the stretch and was slowly wearing the winner down at the end. Cousin Kate was speedy, but tired from chasing the winner. Willetta went to the front at the start and set a fast pace all the way, but tired and just lasted long e.ieugh. Robs Pet was always in nearest pursuit, hung on gamely and practically had no contention for t-econd place. F. E. Shaw did his best and had no mishaps. Sweet Flavia quit badly in the run through the stretch. Loretta Mack ran well. The winner was entered for 300; no bid. Scratched ;93923Amberley, 100. Mrs. Annie was always in forward contention and outgamed Merlingo in the closing strides. The latter, off poorly and in a pocket to the stretch, came fast when clear. Comic Opera showed the most early speed, but quit badly when challenged. The winner was entered for 400; no bid. Scratched G9427 Demon. 100: G9125 Little Root, 90.
