. ... . . . ; THEO. WINTERS COLORS REVIVED. Daughter of the Lamented Turfman to Race In California. . At the coming meeting at the Oakland track the orange, green and red colors of the late Theodore Wiutcrs, carried in times past by some of the greatest horses the American turf has ever known, will again be seen for the first time in several years. A daughter of the once noted breeder will race a small string In the natno of the Nevada Stable. The string which arrived from the AYintcrs ranch a few days ago consists of the following liorses: Charmarila, ch. f, 3, by El Rio Rey Ogalena; Janet Smaill, Beleesa, Annie Laurie, Neva W. and Framctta. All are home bred and by El Rio Rey. J. O. and G. II. Keene have already experienced a bit of ill fortune. A colt which was among the yearlings bought and shipped here from the cast died a few days ago, after undergoing an operation. However, there are thirteen other infant racers left in their string, and these, with twenty older horses, will keep the clever Kcntuckiaus pretty busy. T. II. Stevens is at Oakland from Seattle, with nine horses. They are Huston, Mar, Ramus, Watchful, Bonar, Tryconnel, Garnet, Whiniple and Buto. Other arrivals from Seattle are V. II. Terry, with Yellowstone, Rosy Light, Lord Provost, Vinorsini, Joe Riley and Joe Kilday; II. Aiders, with Otto Price, Alta Spa, Balnade and Rose II.; C. Dugan, witli Rhinoek; J. Magrath, with Marie II., and W. Short, with Yankee Jim. From Sacramento comes J. 1. Millin, with eleven horses, as follows: E. M. Brattain, PasQdella, Lady Bache, Cayenne Cora, Mein Loibling, Costados, Marnetana, Coronia, Jim Hay-wood, Carrie Timelier and Ocean Queen, The stables of U. Z. De Arnian, R. Harris and iJ. J. Shannon have reached Oakland from Seattle. iDe Annans strug consists of the well-known performers, Taby Tosa, Money Muss, Early Tide, Optician, Crcslon and Haryel. Harris brought Wood-Thorpe, Wherewithal, Sumptuary, .Shannon and Snapdragon. T. II. Ryan ha,s written Secretary Treat that he will ship a carload of horses to Oakland at the .close of the Louisville fall meeting.
