GRAND PRIX OF PARIS ATTRACTS. Che prospect of winning .00,000 has induced owners to enter their horses very lavishly for the Grand Prix at Peris two years hence; 507 engagements have been made, 105 of which art; from English owners, but,, nevertheless, these figures are ltelow those for next year, the Grand Prix of 100S having obtained 410 nominations in Paris and 100 in London. This is a record up to the present time. The engagements for 1007 wore only 303. M. Ed-mond Blanc has nominated nineteen colts, most of them by Flying1 For, for the Grand Prix of 1000: Mr. W. K. Vanderbilt and 31. Michel Eph-russi have each made seventeen inscriptions; Baron Edouard de Rothschild .lias . engaged eighteen; M. Caillault fourteen and M. Veil Picard, thirteen. Mr. Perry .Belmont has engaged six American colls by Ethelbort. and among other foreign horses are ten Hungarians, nominated by Mr. Xicolas de Sye-mere; three Germans, including a half-brother to Fels, by Galtee More, out of Festa, belonging to Ilerr Carl Weinberg; three Italian colts owned by Count Schcibler, and a Belgian colt. This is the own brother to Rock Sand, the produce of the mare Rofpiebrune, bought by Mr. Brugmann at the Xew-market sales and has been named Dry Sand.
