1 DUFFERIN PARK GIVEN ITS QUIETUS. Government of Ontario Cancels Its Charter and Outlaw Meeting at Toronto Will End Forthwith. Toronto. Ont.. June 16. — The Ontario government this afternoon, on recommendation of the attorney-general, declared the charter of the York Riding and Driving Club canceled. The order will take effect tomorrow morning as soon as signed bv the lieuteu-Ant-governor. and will have the effect of putting an immodiate end to the outlaw meeting at Dufferin Park, the local half-mile track at which racing began last week. The promoter of the Dufferin Park meeting was A. M. Orpen and the management was in charge of Mark Boasberg. more widely known as Jack Sheehan.
