Ful-fonl dashed to the front when the barrier was sprung, forced Osorine along at a killing pace for the first halt and managed to last long enough to stall off Cloisteress at the end. Cloisteress followed the leaders in, t i straightened out in the stretch and finished fast and gamely under punishment. Darelngton dropped lack iii the first quarter, but gained steadily on the far turn and finished with a rush. Osorine ran a good race, but tired in the stretch. C. W. The latter, a sluggish colt, never got to raming well until in the last furloug. then finished gamely and would have beaten the wiuner in aih.G.er stride. Big Bear, running under slight restraint, followed the leaders closely for the first turn of the field, went to the front with a rush when going to the ninth jump and drew away into a long lead, but had to be bard ridden all of the last furlong to stall off Commodore Fontaine. The latter finished gamely and appeared to have the winner beaten at the last fence, but tired in the last sixteenth. Denier fenced well and. while lacking speed, easily disposed of StellalanJl in the last quarter. The latter, under restraint most of the trip, failed to respond when called on. Vilhalla and Andrew Summers lost their riders at the eleventh jump. Student King palled up at the ninth. Braggadocio ran out at the seventh and Wuerzburger fell at the first. The latter, under slight restraint for the first quarter, moved up with a rush on. the backstretch. but was much used in racing with Petulant and had nothing left when the winner challenged. Petulant showed ■peed, but quit in the stretch drive. Neoskaleeta stopped after going a half mile and her race should be thrown out. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
