HILDRETH SHIPS CRACKS TO SARATOGA. New York. July 19. Fayette, his latest acquisition, was one of a consignment of horses that S. C. Hildreth shipiKMl to Saratoga Saturday. He went to the Springs with Fitz Herbert. Joe Madden. Ites-tigouche. Dalmatian and King James, of the Hildreth statiie. and a bunch lielonging to the Chelsea Stable. Lothario, The Wrestler. Isendune. Aster dOr and Scarpia were In the Chelsea lot. Preston Hurch. trainer of the Chelsea Stable, had charge of the Hildreth-Chelsea train, which consisted of four cars. Hildreth may race a few horses at Yonkers. but he expects to spend the better part of the next two weeks at Saratoga preparing King James for the Saratoga Handicap and Fayette for the ,500 Travers Stakes. The Travers is Fayettes best engagement at the Springs and Hildreth has an idea that he can get Fayette in such condition by the day of its running that he will beat Ids hitherto successful rival. Hilarious. Hilarious will bear the silks of James R. Keene In the Travers. He is already at Saratoga ahd James Rowe is at work on him. It is thought likely that Hildreth may buy a couple of two-year-olds from iMaddeu during tje Saratoga meeting.
