BILLY OLIVER TRAINING IN ENGLAND. New York, July 19. W. L. Oliver, for many years one of the familiar figures of the American turf, lias established himself in England at Ileatlicote House, at Epsom, and is training a string of horses. Of ro-.ent vears Oliver was best known as the owner of Lord "Badge, All Gold, Hoot Mon, a name he was frequently called himself, and sohie other useful platers. Sporting Life hiis this to say of Oliver: "W. L. Oliver is getting a string of horses at Ileatlicote House, Holts place, at Epsom. Oliver, who is well known in this country, is a native of Scotland and lias trained and owned horses in America for upward of twenty years. J. It. Kcene gave. Oliver a personal letter of introduction to the stewards of the Jockey Club, who granted him a license to train within forty-eight hours."
