WHITNEY HORSES WERE CONTENDERS. Ijmdon. Eng.. August 17. The Trial All-Aged Selling Plate of 200 sovereigns, distance live furlongs, was run at Stockton today, and was won bv The Spider, with Salomv second and Isogi-.inh third. Among the twelve starters was H. P. Whitneys Xela filly. The Wynvard Plate of 000 sovereigns, for two-vear-olds. distance five furlongs, was won by Homing Pigeon. Fox Hunt was second and H. P. Whitneys Top o the .Morning third. Hie ilarewiod Two-Year-Old Selling Plate of 150 sovereigns, distance live furlongs, was won by Mag gie -Maw Hestla and Dloom ran a dead heat for second place. Among the fourteen starters was II. V. Wfiitneys Littoral.
