WINNERS OF THE HURON HANDICAP. It was hoped that Maskette and Fitz Herbert would meet In the Huron Handicap today, but from the fact that neither is to start, unless as an added starter, it appears that such a meeting is being dodged by their owners. Certainly no better medium for a race than a handicap for three-year-olds could be asked lor, such as the Huron is. It is one of the batch of new stakes devised when Mr. Whitney and his associates acquired control of the Saratoga track and has always been won by a good horse, but never by one of the highest class of any year.
