NIGHT RIDERS REMANDED FOR WEEK. New York, September 11. Attar much probing it appears that the turf governors are not Inclined to believe there is anything serious In the case of the "night riders" who were arrested last Monday morning for working Osteiwi so as to kill his chances for winning a race the following afternoon. A man closely identified with the government of racing says that these "night riders" wore evidently working on their own book nnd were not in the employ of some big liookmaker. for the reason that .ther are now without money and nobody has come to their assistance with a proffer of legal advice. Tills man declared that the "night riders" possibly pedj died information about the horses that had been rim off their feet in the dark and were willing to receive a paltry sum for the information. The men came np for trial yesterday but were remanded for another week.
