MAPLE HEIGHTS FALL RACING STATISTICS The fall meeting at Maple Heights comprised thirteen days of racing, from September 30 to October 14, during which time ninety-two races were run and 2,000, a daily average of ,615, wore distributed in purses. S. Polk was the most successful of the horsemen taking part in the meeting, with seven victories and ,300 to his credit H. W. Barnes was next in order with six races and ,175. Among the horses Tailor Maid tops the list with ,250, while American Soldier accounted for ,625. M. Fator was the riding star of the meeting, the young apprentice establishing the remarkable record of winning with one-half of the forty-six mounts he had.
