NOONHOUR raced next to the inner rail under slight restraint until after entering the homestretch, then came fast on the outside of the leader to win drawing clear. ATHLETE took the lead and set a good pace, but tired when challenged near the finish. ILLUSIONIST raced wide while rounding the far turn and swerved to the inner rail in the last eighth. THE ENQUIRER passed LITTLE LESS after entering the homestretch, but was forced to do his best to hold MAGICIAN safe. The latter, away slowly, gained steadily and was going fast at the end. The latter tired slightly, but held PAROL safe in a driving finish. PAROL was forced to work his way cp on the outside and finished gamely. W. G. McCLINTOCIC had no mishaps.
