Volantc and Go-liah were bred, owned and raced by "Lucky" Baldwin. Miss Ford he bought as a yearling from ner breeder, W. G. Harding, owner of the famous Belle Meade Stud. She was by Enquirer Bribery and ran second to C. H. Todd in the American Derby of 1S87. Goliah was by Grinstead Maggie Emerson and ran unplaced in the same Derby. Volante was by Grinstead Sister to Clara D., and a great race horse.
