Won driving; second and third the same. SCARLET BUGLER raced WILKES-BARRE into submission and came wide on the stretch torn, but took the lead and withstood the final rush of PETTIFOGGER. The latter was messed about in the early running, but finished fast. WILKES-BARRE ran well, but tired in the last eihgth. WOOD-FLOWER set a fast pace to the last eighth and tired. TOODLES, after racing in closest pursuit of the early leader, passed him in the stretch and drew away in the last eighth. GAZINTA raced well and finished fast. PAUL MICOU closed a gap and finished resolutely. RUMMEL closed up much ground. DAN BOLLING quit. HILLSDALE set the pace for three-quarters and quit badly. BLUE HAWK was taken back and saved after setting a fast early pace, then scvad ground on the last turn and, responding quickly when called on, was going away at the end. TRUE FLIER, fractious at the barrier, began well, but came a trifle wide on the stretch turn and tired near the finish. EVELYN SAWYER also tired and just lasted to outstay LADY MYRA. The latter ran well and would have been third in a few more strides. REAP showed early speed. CLANSMAN, bard ridden all the way, raced into the lead and finished gamely, but succumbed in the last few strides. IRISH KISS was running fastest of all at the end. DUKH JOHN set the early pace and raced well up all the way, but tired. MARYLAND BELLE was away badly and closed a big gap. COLANDO had no mishaps. DESPAIR would not go. A STFTH RACE 3-4 Mile.
