LEXINGTON TURF NOTES LEXINGTON. Ky., April 17. G. W. Churchs horses will be here from Huntington in a day or two. Rothermel, a stablemate of Kitty Pat, and also eligible for the Ashland Oaks, worked a mile in 1 :42Vo, handily. The stables of S. J. Kelley and John Partridge were shipped over from Louisville today. J. N. Camden has a most promising candidate for the Ashland Oaks in Kitty Pat and the daughter of Light Brigade — Kcatar-ina showed that she is in fine fettle when yesterday she galloped a mile in 1 :41Vfe. Menifee, Gallaher Bros. Derby candidate, worked three-quarters in 1 :15. This is one of the fastest horses ever trained here, and it seems as if the operation for the improvement of his wind is to prove successful. Manager T. E. Bradley stated that the sickness has cleared entirely at the local track and that the trainers report a clean bill of health. "The stalls all have been allotted," he said, "and there will be plenty of horses, and the meeting will be a good one, if we get proper weather." Almadel worked three-quarters in 1 :14%, and the move was in the nature of confirmation of the good opinion that many of the work watchers here have of Hal Price Headleys good son of Ultimus, regarded as having an excellent chance for the Kentucky Derby, if he continues to train as well as at present. •
