Duggan, general manager of the Mount Loyal track at Montreal, was a visitor today en route to Cincinnati for the forthcoming meeting at Coney Island. Mr. Duggan reports that the recent meeting at Mount Loyal was a Bneeeasfnl one. Steeplechase jockey j.. Cheywe, who leads tin- cross country raters at present, is in great demand. Many aw mils have been seeking second call on the J. E. Davis contract rider. Major F. v. Whit,, left for England on a business trip and will return about the mid-ile of .July. il. Rlgtona claimed Bhlraa out of the first race today, for .;oo.
