BRADLEY HORSES DELAYED Will Not Leave New Orleans Until Thursday Morning — Bagen- baggage for the Preakness. NEW ORLEANS, T-a.. April 13. — Inability to secure a oar for their transportation has , deferred departure of the K. E. Bradley horses and they will be shipped to Lexing-ton Thursday morning- The stable has been greatly depleted by sales since their arrival here last fall and trainer Hurley will only take back eight horses of the original extensive consignment that he brough here. Of the eight he is shipping. Blue Pencil is intended to be turned out at Idle Hour Farm and Buzzy Wuz is done with racing and will be mated to Black Servant on her arrival at Idle Hour. Bagenbaggage. Boot to Boot, President, Bob Oahill. Benedict Vow and Bachelor Bird will be sent to Pimlico after a brief sojourn at the Lexington track. Bagenbabbage continues to train in superb style and delighted Mr. Bradley Monday by an impressive three-quarters trial over a slow track in 1 :1S. He Is an intended starter in the Pnakness and his owner and trainer feel confident that he will render a good account of himself in that rich Maryland fixture. Blended and Basket Picnic were the latest to be sold. The pair were disposed of privately Monday to P.. A. Leigh, who will race them this year. Better and Better, which at one time was rated by his owner as one of the best in his establishment, and which has never gone to the post, has been presented to the Louisiana Artillery to be used for government breeding purposes. Mr. Bradley, accompanied by Barry Shannon, manager of the Idle Hour Farm, departed Tuesday night for I,exington. Barry Shannon late Tuesday afternoon was successful through the British Blood Stock Agency in securing an option on Carnival, dam of Carlaris. There were many seeking to secure her, and Barry Shannon was highly elated in having been successful in securing the prior rights to purchase her. Carnival was bred this season to Golden Sun. whose stud fee is ,500. Early Tuesday morning Mr. Bradley gave the contract for construction of his new stable. This structure will entail an expense of 0,000 ami will be the last word In stable cor.struetion. it will embody every improvement in the new private stables at the Fair Grounds and also many features devised by Mr. Bradley for the comfort of his horses and employes. it will include a small grandstand where the Bradley employes will have a full view of the racing.
