OFFICIALS FOR KENTUCKY Rumors as to Probable Stewards for Churchill Dowus and Latonia Meetings. LEX I NGTON, Ky.. April 13— The report is current here that the Kentucky Jockey Club will, at the meeting of the State Racing Commission, to be held on April 20, present the names of Messrs. Charles F. Price, Samuel C. Nuckols, Thomas C. Bradley and Elijah Hogg for approval to be stewards for the meetings at Churchill Downs and I-atonia this year. The report further is to the effect that Thomas C. Bradley will resign as vice-president and general manager of tho Kentucky Association and that he will be succeeded by Thomas S. Scott, one of the directors of the association, who is a brother of W. Campbell Scott, now of California, secretary of the Kentucky Association in 1905 and 1906 when the property was owned by the late Capt. S. S. Brown. "Tommy" Scott is the partner of "Billy" Klair in the insurance firm of Klair and Scott. It is rumored that C. W. Hay intends to devote much of his time this year to activities in connection with the Homewood track of the Illinois Jockey Club, and that he has written Col. Matt J. Winn, general manager of the Kentucky Jockey Club, that he will not be an applicant for rc-appoinment to a place in the stewards stand. While all of this appears to be generally accepted and understood to be the correct plans, no confirmation of it is obtainable here from the powers that be in racing. W. E. Caskey. Jr. today stated, in response to a rumor that Reputation and Supporter, two of the Williams Brothers string, had been privately sold. "We had an offer of 0,000 for those two horses, but we refused to entertain it, for the reason that we have announced the horses to be sold by auction and without reserve to the highest bidder at Douglas Park on Friday. May 7. None of those we bought from Williams Brothers have been sold privately and none will be sold except by auction." «
