STABLE ROOM AT PREMIUM Superintendent Sharland Forced Forcedto to Refuse Applications for forStall Stall Boom at Woodbine TORONTO Ontario May 17 Twentyfive carloads of horses constitute the Maryland and Kentucky contributions to the meeting opening at Woodbine Park next Saturday Many of these have already been unloaded and the remainder are expected to be in quarters at the east end course today Track superintendent Walter Sharland is at his wits end to find room for them and had to wire many other owners vho wished to come here that he simply could not take care Arrangements will be made for looking after the surplus at Thorncliffe Park while the Woodbine meeting is in progress and when the racing moves to the leaside course Woodbine stables can be used to take care of many that will not have room at Thorn ¬ cliffe cliffeTwentyfour Twentyfour belonging to the Seagram Stable were in the vanguard of the Mary ¬ land contingent and are quartered at the east end of the track with the other four ¬ teen that came from the Waterloo Farm a week or so ago The horses that arrived from Pimlico are Edisto Sir Harry Duch ¬ ess Gaffsman Beau of the West Knight Rundalc Simony Voshell Toscanelli Phan ariot Jewel Kit Lady Sceptre Arno Rolls Royce Wandering Minstrel Candy Kid Star of Gold Tetra Glass Jamie Single Pip Up setta Pandora and Dales Gu Brath BrathW W H Bringloe trainer of the Seagram Stable arrived in advance of the shipment and states that they were very unlucky in both the Dixie Handicap and the Preakness A slow start beat Edisto in the former and Sir Harry in the latter latterThe The Waterloo Stable will be well fortified with riding talent for ine long Canadian campaign having jockeys O Bourassa H Erickson E Scobie and the good apprentice W McGuinness McGuinnessProminent Prominent among the Maryland and Ken ¬ tucky shipments besides the Seagram string which are either already on hand or ex ¬ pected soon together with the number of horses are James Arthur 1C Nevada Stock Farm 10 H Neusteter 12 W M Garter 10 O F Burkart 7 T Donohue 12 James Healey 12 J E Griffith 5 including the crack pair Single Foot and Canter W G Trover S R E Potts 7 J W Bean 16 E F Whitney 1C J W Dayton 3 Walter Fenwick 2 Kermath 3 O Burgess 2 and C Garrigan 7 7Several Several horses are also expected from New York either today or tomorrow which consignment will include a quartette of the Carlton Stables steeplechasers T H Mc Greery well known trainer of this stable will be here to look after the horses during their Canadian campaign
