HOMEWOOD IMPROVEMENTS LOUISVILLE Ky May 17 C W Hay general manager of tne Washington Park course Homewood 111 returned to Chicago Sunday night During his Derby visit he reported that improvements at his track are going ahead rapidly and advised former vis ¬ itors to the plant that the pretentious pro ¬ gram of betterments will completely alter the appearance of the course and they will hardly recognize it The improvements are scheduled for completion in time for the coming meeting which opens June 1 He also advised horsemen to refrain from ship ¬ ping to the Washington Park track unless they have been advised that their stables have been allotted
