FLORIDA TURF BILL FAILS I TALLAHASSEE Fla June 1 An attempt to advance the Watson local option turf bill failed in the Senate On a test vote the measure was defeated 29 to G Senator Wat ¬ son then moved that the bill be placed on the local calendar This move also was de ¬ feated by a negative vote of 29 If Senator Watsons motion had been carried and the bill then placed on the local calendar it would have come up before the Senate for a final vote immediately
