1 BLUE BONNETS NOTES s $ MONTREAL, Que.. June 2L JL Z. Jenkins claimed "Voshell out of the fifth race for ,500. The Seagram Stable announced that it would dispose of ten or fifteen of the horses it has in training some time during the next meeting at Blue Bonnets. The sale will be held in the paddock. There are forty-three horses in training in the Seagram Stable string and the plans are not to race at any of the winter meetings. Some of them must be disposed of. Jockey Terry "Wilson has signed to ride for the F. M. Kelly stable during the remainder of the Canadian racing season. George M. Hendrie, accompanied by W. P. Fraser, inspected the brood mares and stallions at the Commander J. K. L. Ross farm this morning. Blink, which was at the head of the Hendrie stud in Kentucky, died recently and the Canadian sportsman is looking for a horse to take his place. Jockey Harry Richards returns to New York tomorrow night. At the conclusion of the meeting Jimmy Tighe ship3 the R. T. Wilson and W. J. Salmon horses he has here to New York. T. J. Healey, head trainer of the establishment, plans to send a dozen racers from Saratoga to Blue Bonnets to race at the second meeting of the Montreal Jockey Club. The two-yearcold Partake was taken down with an attack of colic this morning and was excused from starting in the opening race. Secretary John Turner received the entries of Roi des Montagnea and "Wandering Minr strel from the Seagram Stable for the Devonshire Derby. Entries for the opening day of the Hamilton meeting Saturday, June 25, will be accepted at the secretarys office at Blue Bonnets on Thursday and Friday by judges Herman ConkMng or David Gilles. Jockey Fishman was taken ill this morning and forced to cancel his engagements. An accident came with the running of the third race, when Turner, ridden by S. Bul-croft, stumbled and fell at the turn into the back stretch. The horse turned a complete somersault and, landing on his head, broke his neck. Bulcroft was shaken up and suffered injuries to his back. Chickvale, which races for C C Cbnners, was destroyed following the running of the concluding race, when he was jumped on when a jam occurred as the field entered the back stretch. The horses hind leg vu badly cut and broken and he could not be saved for future use.
