Featuring tomorrows program is the Lindbergh Handicap, with a 51,500 purse, and the track management is hopeful of having CoL Charles Lindbergh, trans-Atlantic flier, as their guest and watch the race named in his honor from the stewards pagoda. L. Hale, young apprentice rider, who was seriously hurt in a spill last week in which two horses went down, is much improved, it is reported at St Marys Hospital at Bast St. Louis. He suffered two fractured ribs and other injuries. Jockey McDermott, given a boquet of flowers for winning the Illinois Stakes with Arch Duchess on Saturday, sent the flowers to Hale. Dr.- "VV. E. Coover, Levington veterinarian, was a visitor today. He is en route from Chicago to his home. John "W. Schorr, once famous trainer and father of John F. Schorr, who handles tho main division of McLean horses, is enjoying the racing here. - John Daniels, trainer for Hal Price Head-ley, who came here with six horses, has only; Soiree remaining, but expects his stable to1 be replenished by shipments from Kentucky. He is awaiting word whether or not Helens Babo will be shipped fqr the Statler Hotel Handicap, to be run Saturday. C. M. Reeder of New .York is the guest of associate racing secretary Reeder for aj few days. The feature of tomorrows card will be tho Lindbergh Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, at one and a sixteenth miles. The ,500 added money in this event has attracted some of the best horses at Fairmount Park and it is sure to prove a race worthy; of the hero honored in its name. Thursday will be observed as Madison Day at Fairmount Park and Mayor Gareche has arranged for a representative delegation from that enterprising little city to attend the races that day.
