BEGGAR BOY, closest up from the start, passed TOT CAPTAIN after going a half mile and. taking a good lead, woa going away. SALUTATION came fast in the final three-sixteenths and got up to outfinish THE CAPTAIN. The latter showed the most speed in the going and drew away into a long early lead, but tired ia the final drive. ROELLA raced fairly well. MY PARDNER was away poorly. The latter raced close up and challenged gamely in the stretch, but was outfinished. FLAMES closed a gap after making a slow beginning. GILMORE tired after showing early speed. Won easily; second and third driving. McCULLOCn overtook OVERDRAFT after going a half mile, then withstood the challenge of niGH PRINCE in the stretch and came away easily in the last eighth. HARASS improved his position gradually, racing on the outside and coining to the inside in the stretch and got up in the last stride to head HIGH PRINCE. The latter, close up from the start, challenged the leaders gamely in the stretch, but tired in the final eighth. OVERDRAFT set a good pace for a half mile before tiring. SLICE raced well. AVIATOR, close up from the start, came over sharply against ELEVATE after rounding the far turn, then raced GOVERNOR SETH closely in the fiual drive, heading him in the last stride. GOVERNOR SETH raced into the lead in the first half mile and held it gamely to" near the end and was only outrinished in the last yard. ITOMEWOOD raced with the leaders to the first turn, but was forced hack by AVIATOR and GOVERNOR SKTH. ELEVATE also suffered when AVIATOR and GOVERNOR SETH came over sharply after rounding the far turn. SHASTA KLAN was always outpaced. Scratched 14381 Low Gear. 107. Overweight Elevate, 2 pounds. URKYFACK soon laced into a good lead and set the pace to the final turn, but was unable to withstand the winner. ENNUI bad no mishaps and finished well.
