JOHN WALTERS IS INJURED LATONIA, Ky., June 21. John Walters, trainer of the Geo. M. Hendrie stable, this morning suffered numerous painful, but not serious, injuries, when the two-year-old Moby Dick, the property of the Shadybrook Farm, ran into him and knocked him down on the back stretch of the Latonia track. Walters was superintending the unsaddling of a set of the horses in his charge when, without warning, the Shadybrook colt, working on the track, bolted from the five-eighths pole, made straight for Walters and, striking him with great force, sent the horseman sprawling and rendered him temporarily unconscious. Walters was rushed to a local hospital, where it was found necessary to take a dozen stitches in closing a long ;ut over his left ear. Walters also suffered numerous lacerations a"bout the face and bruises to his body.
