AT POST— 4 minutes. Start good and slow. Won handily: second and third driving. AIR CHIEF, racing well in the going, took the lead at the start, set a good pace and held the race safe throughout. GREY CHIEF responded when called on and finished fast. SHEPHERDESS came with a rush through the final eighth and out finished SCONE. The latter showed early speed, but tired and quit. DANCE ran well. Won easily; second and third the same. RAGWEED was raced close up under restraint, then took the lead when called on and easily kept it to the end. OARSMAN jumped well and made a game challenge when called on, but was held safe by tite leader. PRICE showed the most speed for over a mile and jutnpd well throughout, but tired in the final eighth. HEROD ANTIPAS raced well. FLITTULA ran well throughout. LOUVAUN had no mishaps. THE SIRDAR TL was outrun early and was crowded by the riderless RELOIONI.AND at the final jump. BELGENLAND fell at the twelfth jump. FAIR CLASS lost his rider at the sixth jump and ARC LIGHT fell at the first. Won driving; second and third easily. HENRIETTA WILDAIR, helped by the going, showed the most speed throughout, withsood a challenge from STEFALLY and outgamed DARKNESS at the end. The latter raced close up all the way and swerved under hard riding in the final sixteenth, but came again near the end. DICING raced close up throughout, but tired under her weight and was not persevered with in the final sixteenth. STEFALLY showed much speed, but was tiring at the end. CATSPLAY ran well. The latter forced the paee from the start, saved ground where possible and finished well. KIEV showed the most early speed, but tired and was eased up. The latter was much used in racing RENDEZVOUS into defeat and tired in the final sixteenth. MOSQUE ran fairly well. LAROCK ran a cood race. HARASS and SHIRAZ were as good as left.
