FAIRM0UNT PARK NOTES | «g _ « COLLINSVILLE. 111., May 28. Word was received at the track this morning of the death of R. E. Watkins at his home in Long Island. He will be buried at Jamestown, N. Y. The temporary license granted jockey Judy was revoked and a substitute was necessary on the three mounts he was to ride during the day. A. K. Miller has taken a contract on the apprentice rider George C. E. Ellis of Louisville, Ky. The boy had several mounts at Raceland last year but has never been astride a winner. Sea Fay and Proptness, owned by V. G. Sutro, reached here from Maryland and went into the Art Goldblatt stable. In the last race Saturday the winner, Up and Down, was claimed from Phil Reuter for ,000 by C. Bunte, who was represented in the race by Botch. Starter William Snyder has placed Master Sweep, Body Guard, Uncle S., Miss Isabella and Masetta on the schooling list. Horsemen were advised not to harbor the apprentice P. Tucker, who is under contract to O. K. Miller. The Fairmount Park management announced today that the prices of admission for Derby Day, Saturday, would be as follows : Grandstand, .40, including 20 cents federal and 20 cents state tax ; club house, .60, including 40 cents federal and 20 cents state tax. Judge A. J. Pickrell of Anna, 111., is the official representative of S. J. Stanard, director of agriculture, in the supervision of the mu-tuel department at Fairmount Park. Judge rickrell is one of the leading attorneys of southern Illinois and an ardent devotee of high class racing as a wholesome sport.
