BULY BARTON TAKES REST Crack American Steeplechaser Running Out at Owners Maryland Farm. BALTIMORE, Md., May 28.— Billy Barton, the crack American steeplechaser, which finished second to Tipperary Tim in the Grand National Steeplechase at Aintree last March after just failing to win the worlds famous jumping race, is now enjoying a well earned rest at the farm of his owner, Howard Bruce of this city. Billy Barton returned to this country on May 14, on the Minnewaska, on which was another notable jumper. Jack Horner, winner of the Grand National in 1926, in the colors of A. C. Schwartz, who immediately shipped his pet steeplechaser to Kentucky to live a life of ease for the remainder of his days. While nothing definite has been decided, it is believed that Mr. Bruce will ship Billy Barton back to England for another try in the Grand National next year.
