JENKINS COLORS TO FORE Runbank Wins at First Asking for New Owner — Clear Weather Results in Large Crowd. OMAHA, Neb., June 5.— Runbank, which R. Z. Jenkins recently secured via the claiming route, made good at the first asking for his new owner when he won the South Omaha Turse, a claiming race, which was the best attraction on this afternoons card. Runbank permitted Jack Fairman to set the pace for a half mile and then came fast to take command and win easily. Oseda raced to second place, and Jack Fairman was third. The weather cleared somewhat this afternoon and a fair crowd was out to witness the running of the program. Omarsan scored for If. Syufy in the first race when she defeated Shasta Cherry anil the favored Blind Hills. Omarsan led all the way. Pookanaka was a good thing in the second race and was well backeu. He made good in impressive Style, coming from behind to defeat a bulky band. The third was won by the favorite, Jessie Belle, while Darnell took the fourth. The latter was claimed by R. II. MeCrossen for §1,000.
