ROWE PRAISES VICTORIAN NEW YORK, X. Y., June 5. — Victorian is doing splendidly in his trials for the Belmont .Stakes, and trainer James Rowe, Jr., reports that the colt is at l.Is best after working a mile and a quarter in 2:10 today. He deplored the absence of the Kentucky Derby winner Peigh Count. Powe is more than satisfied that Victorian could master Poigh Count at any distance.
