CANADIAN TURF NOTES . 4 R. Smallwood leaves for Ottawa tonight. He will be accompanied by jockeys C. Ralls, J. Maclvor and A. Maclvor. whose engagements he will make at the Connaught Park meeting. Charles F. Henry has closed with W. A. Woollatt to act as racing secretary at the old Windsor Jockey Club track, where a seven-day meeting is scheduled to begin Saturday, June 16. Mr. Henry will leave for Windsor in a couple of days to organize his staff preparatory to the opening of the meeting. During the course of the afternoon racing secretary Joseph McLennan received word by wire that his son Charles McLennan, while driving his automobile on the highway into Hamilton, was torced off the road into a ditch when a truck, coming in the opposite direction, forced Win from the pavement. Fortunately the younger McLennan escaped injury, although the car was wrecked.
