I WOODBINE TURF N0TES~j TORONTO, Ont., May 21. Jockey J. Maiben will return to New York City at the conclusion of the Woodbine meeting. James Boden has signed jockey J. Mclver to ride for his stable during the remainder of the Canadian racing season. Sohnelli. entered by the Sewickley stable, was wtihdrawn from the sixth race when it was discovered that he was ineligible. Son-nelli was a winner of ,500 in England, which barred him. Harry Fricker, the former steeplechase Jockey, who has been acting as assistant trainer for George Miller, has severed his connection with that turfman and is at Woodbine seeking another engagement. The H. G. Bedwell stable will ship to the Long Branch course at the conclusion of the Thorncliffe meeting. E. J. Salt is training seven home-bred horses for Mrs. Lawson this spring. Four are two-ear-olds and one of them is the smallest racer in training. This is the filly Lady Nickleby, by Sweep By, which stands fourteen hands half-inch. Steeplechase jockey W. Mahoney, under contract to the Flying Horse Farms, who received severe bruises as the result of a fall while riding Black Pepper in the Helter Skelter Steeplechase, was removed to the Wellesley Hospital. T. J. Healey is shipping the Olambala colt African to Fairmount Park to fill his engagement in the Derby run there on Saturday, June 1. 1 : - •
