f BELMONT PARK NOTES ? * _ 4 NEW YORK. N. Y., May 21. Baron Long, the San Diego breeder, was an arrival and will remain for several days racing. Espinoza, which raced for J. J. Murphy, was claimed out of the last race Monday by B. G. Guth for ,500. J. E. Madden introduced a new rider to the East in Homer Williams. He purchased the contract on the boy a few days ago. Upset Lad. the Belle Isle Stables starter in the Kentucky Derby, arrived in good condition from Louisville. Abe Meyer, who was manager of the ring during the Miami meeting, was confined to his home today with a light cold. Capt. P. M. Walker, the Virginia breeder, delayed the shipment of his stable from Pim-lico to New York due to a slight epidemic Of coughing and will wait for warm weather. In punishment for his foul riding of Curate In the fifth race Willie Garner was suspended for three days by the stewards. J. E. Widener will leave for Europe upon the close of the Belmont Park meeting for his annual visit. He will return for Saratoga. 1 1 r i .
