« ■ WOODBINE PARKS OUTRIDER TORONTO, Ont., May 22.— Polly Pember-ton, who signed a contract to ride High Bridge in the Grand National of 1914, is the outrider at the Woodbine. Pemberton, when he was riding through the field, established an enviable record. In 19J3 he rode High Bridge in twenty races, winning on sixteen occasions, being second twice and he fell in the other two starts. It is interesting to note that when Pemberton rode his first winner it was a horse called Plum Tart, which Ed. Whyte trained for the late William Hendrie. The race took place in Chicago and Plum Tart paid his few supporters off at 300-1.
