T WOODBINE TURF NOTES i TORONTO, Ont. May 22. Christopher J. Fitzgerald was an arrival from New York. He came up to supervise the sale of the F. P. OConnor and T. B. Jenkins horses, which will be held in the paddock at the Woodbine Thursday morning at 11 a, m. There are nineteen in the OConnor lot and six in the Jenkins consignment. George Baine, well known auctioneer, is coming up from Kentucky to conduct the sale. J. Simon Healey is here with three horses. He has two grand daughters of Fij ing Fairy, which carried the colors of the late Coionsl Cassatt. They are Sea Sprite and Rock Fairy, the property of Mrs. Eleanor CassAtt Laird. The latter sailed on the Mauretania yesterday for England, where she is going to witness the running of the Epsom Derby. Richard Pending reports that Knockany bowed a tendon and that Foundation Stone has a bruised quarter. News reached here today of the death of another racegoer, when it was learned that Bob Roberts, a follower of the spirt, had dropped dead in Rochester, N. Y., yesterday. There were several arrivals from New York this morning. J. L. Donovan accompanied J. P. Smith up from Belmont Turk. Smith came on to saddle Sun Forward for the King Edward Hotel Gold Cup. He will remain over for the balance of the meeting. His employer, Victor Emanuel, is expected here tomorrow and the stables steeplechase rider, George Duller, is coming up to ride Rubigny on Saturday. T. H. McCreery received two additions to his stable when Son o Battle and Humanist arrived from Belmont Park. Tuck Bayard Tuckerman, who returned to Boston yesterday, will be back for the closing days sports. Dr. Finch, well known veterinarian, was an arrival from Jeffersonville, Ind. He operated on several horses for wind affection. among them being Natures Eye and Ferry of Fate. Tommy Gorman came from Ottawa to confer with horsemen who contemplate shipping from here to Connaught Park. He announced that the Willingdon Cup would be run on Saturday, June 3. Trieze came out of his race yesterday a very lame horse.
