$, s NEW B0ARD0F DIRECTORS A special meeting of the stockholders of the Washington Park Jockey Club was held Friday and the board was increased to twelve members, and the following were elected as members of the board of directors : M. J. Winn, president of the American Turf Association ; Maurice L. Galvin, secretary of the American Turf Association ; L. A Downs, president of the Illinois Central Railroad ; P. H. Joyce, vice president of the Standard Steel Car Company ; S. Pea-body, vice president of the Peabody Coal Company ; Howard Gillette of the National Bank, New York ; Phil L. Reed, treasurer Armour and Co. ; Cleve Runnells, vice president Pullman Company ; Eugene MacVeagh, Franklin MacVeagh Company ; C. K.
