FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES f $ $ COLLINSVILLE 111., May 24. One of the big stables here is that to be handled by Lloyd Gentry. There are thirty-six racers, miscellaneously owned under his care. V. Gallo brought his ten horses direct from Maryland. The band includes Meridenesse, High Poloxo and Meltelian, this trio being secured by the New Orleans owner via the claiming route and at a cost of 7,000. Thoy are expected to figure extensively in the racing here. Other recently claimed ones in the East that are expected to race with success here are Greenock, Islam and Wildale, in V. Sutros stable. Bradfield and Burkhardt have their twelve horses here, headed by the promising two-year-old Sand Fiddler. My Dandy, which was classed with the best sprinters in the West last year and was particularly successful over this track, is again in training and showing some excellent preliminary trials. His brother Flagbearer, which is in charge of H. T. Batchellor, is also regarded in high esteem and has been showing some creditable trials. A considerable division of the Coldstream Stable will be campaigned during the present meeting. They are in charge of Al Smitha. The latter is also handling some racers owned by W. M. Ingram. The Audley Farms aggregation in charge of H M. Henderson are an even two dozen. The trainer regards the band as the best he has been in charge of. Another extensive stable here is that of J. W. Marchbank of California. His racers are mostly home-bred. The colors of Geo. J. Long will be seen frequently here. His horses are in charge of R. Brooks. There will be no shortage of jockeys for over fifty have been registered in the secretarys office. They rate well with riders at other courses. Among the more prominent are : T. Buras, W. Dellow, J. Parmalee, M. Knight, V. Wallis, E. Shropshire, A. Pen-dergrass, J. Cavens, R. Finnerty, G. White, M. Meyer, C. Miller, M. Rose, C. Turk, J. Ford, J. Bazer, H. Gonzales, J. Berry, L. McClair, H. Scurlock, R. Moser, A. Terrat, C. Houbre, C. Hainesworth, C. Ponce, J. Eollero, R. Johnson, R. Russell, G. Williams, W. Fisher, H. Louman, R. Craves, R. Cramer, G. Fowler, K. Russell, W. Whitaker, T. Swigart, V. Smith, N. Chilcutt, C. Edwards, O. Clelland, J. Gianelloni, N. Coltoff, H. Pennington, W. Stamper. The state supervisor for the mutual department will be E. B. Moss of Mount Vernon, 111. He presented his credentials :o general manager C. Bruce Head this afternoon.
