REPUBLIC IN TRAINING IATONIA, Ky., June 6.— Republic, the four-year-old son of Busy American and Sherry, owned by Laffon and Yeiser, is expected to fill his engagements in the coming renewals of the Enquirer and Independence Handicaps here. The colt, under the care of trainer J. J. Flanigan, appears to have entirely recovered from infirmities which required his retirement and at this time is in fine condition. Tuesday afternoon he worked three-quarters in 1 :12*4 handily.
