SIGNOLA DEFEATS REBECK Victorious in Wade Park Purse, Main Attraction on Bain-bridge Park Program. CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 6.— A series of claiming races made up the card at Bain-bridge Park this afternoon. The best field started in the fifth race, the Wade Park Purse, and it resulted in the closest finish of the day. Never far from the leaders, Signola gained steadily in the stretch and, wearing down Rebeck, got up in the final strides. Rebeck, the pace-maker, was much the best of the others, Pretty Run was a distant third, outstaying the tiring Denny Cooney. Favorable conditions prevailed today. The weather was perfect, the track at its best and the attendance showed improvement over yesterday. Favorites accounted for a majority of the seven races. Fortunate in securing racing room on the inside while on the far turn, Sun Dance overhauled Red Grange, the leader, entering the stretch, and thereafter never left the result in doubt. Robina Seth dropped into second place when Red Grange quit in the final eighth. Deposition came from the rear to beat the others home.
