A healthy interest in the steeplechasingr branch of the "Wooodbine Park sport is reflected in the response to the Fraser Memorial and Woodbine steeplechases, best cross-country offerings of the Ontario Jockey Clubs spring meeting. There were fifty-seven entries made to the Fraser Memorial, originally the Ain-Xree, and fifty-five to the "Woodbine. This list compares favorably with the nominations to these popular cross-country stakes in recent years.
